It’s sometimes not easy. There is the war in Ukraine, extreme weather events, Covid and the threat of future epidemics and the weakening of Western institutions and systems.
Last week we talked about grieving for what we have lost in the past two years and accepting that things may have changed for good.
This week I have been noticing the small things everywhere that give me hope. For example:
• Flashes of human connection – small acts of kindness, moments of shared understanding / emotion.
• The timeless – a child trying to tie their shoelaces, young love, the stars at night.
• The magic of nature – a spider making a web, a gentle breeze on the skin, water glistening on a tree after rain.
• Even disaster – families spending long periods of time together due to Covid, acts of heroism and defiance in the face of adversity, the West rallying together against a common threat.
Where do you find hope?

Have a great week everyone.
